In short

in·somnia is proud to present their latest work: Episode 1 of Swissto12’s Road To Launch series, showcasing an EPFL startup’s path to launching their first next-generation geostationary satellite into space.

Context (the brief)

As they approach the deadline for the launch of their innovative new microGEO satellite, Swissto12 wanted a cinematic documentary to showcase their Road to Launch, connecting their innovation to Arthur C. Clarke’s vision.

Creative process & concept

From science-fiction to reality, the film connects their innovation to writer Arthur C. Clarke’s vision and legacy, featuring an immersive experience into the world of satellites and bringing together technical accuracy with emotional storytelling.

Arthur C. Clarke imagined in 1945 that just three satellites in geostationary orbit could connect the entire planet. A visionary idea that has laid the foundation for modern satellite communications.

This project perfectly aligns with our vision at in·somnia, transforming a corporate message into an artful, cinematic and engaging brand documentary.  The film is a fusion of science, storytelling, and cinema that places human vision at the heart of technology. Its a proof that even in the most technical industries we can find deep, human stories to tell.
