"We could hardly believe it. For weeks, though, we'd been hearing the storm rumbling in the distance. We hoped the clouds would stop at our borders. We had forgotten that sometimes the world is stronger than we are and that reality can overtake fiction.

The pandemic finally knocked on our door. In our mouths, the same words repeated over and over again, making sense of something beyond us. In our eyes, a new anxiety, and in the air, an unknown electricity. We were about to experience a slice of history."

Morges Masquée is an artistic book of photographs and texts created by artists Jay Burton and Coralie Peguet. We all have a story to tell about the COVID-19 crisis. On the one hand, Jay photographed the Morgian region and his personal relationship with the crisis throughout 2020, and on the other Coralie wrote continuously throughout the year to keep track of the feelings and emotions of society and herself.

With the support of the town of Morges, 400 copies of the book were printed and sold throughout the town. An exhibition was also held at the local gallery in Morges, Espace81.
