Narrative

Medium length film (35mins)

In short

Short movie Fiction

Four childhood friends meet for their annual reunion. This year however, all of the unsaid is let out... what is hiding underneath the surface?

Our Yearly Poker Night is a captivating 35-minute medium-length film, set entirely within the evocative confines of The Whistling Shop—a 1920s Prohibition-era bar in London.

Crafted from an original script by Robin Gallimard, the film delves into a compelling dialogue-driven narrative featuring four characters with clashing viewpoints, exploring the intense dynamics and escalating tensions that unfold in this intimate setting.

The concept for Our Yearly Poker Night emerged from our desire to create a project that allowed us to delve deeply into character development and dialogue within a constrained setting.

The single-location format of a chamber drama not only enhances the narrative intensity but also enables us to focus our resources on meticulous set design and production quality.

This approach aligns with our commitment to producing high-caliber films that captivate and engage audiences through powerful storytelling and visual excellence.
